Biography

Dr. Groller is an Assistant Professor of Nursing and Public and Health at Moravian University, an AppleĀ® Distinguished School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She attained her B.S. in Nursing from Cedar Crest College, M.S. in Nursing from DeSales University, and Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She maintains active certifications in Cardiac/Vascular and Medical-Surgical nursing. Dr. Groller became an AppleĀ® Distinguished Educator in 2019; being the first to receive this distinction at Moravian. She is internationally recognized nurse researcher, educator, and expert in the fields of obesity management, particularly bariatric and metabolic surgery education practices, and digital education pedagogies. Using results from her Systematic review on patient education practices in weight loss surgery and multimodal writing principles she strives to develop responsible producers and critical consumers of digital health information through infographic and podcast creation on important health topics that would educate a variety of audiences. Dr. Groller is well published in printed peer-reviewed clinical journals such as Surgery of Obesity and Related Disorders and electronic publications available in Apple Books.
