The Obesity Pharmacology in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery is an educational event targeted at educating Integrated Health and Surgeons about medications available for weight loss preoperatively and postoperatively. Appropriate selection of anti-obesity medication based on patient history, co-morbidities, and other relevant indications will be discussed, and assist healthcare providers in the decision-making process. When to start/re-start AOM postoperatively will be considered, as well as dosing, increasing dosing, side effects, and when to add and/or change AOMs will be discussed.
