Description:

The two-part session is designed to discuss the integration of the robotic surgery platform into metabolic and bariatric surgery practice. The benefits and limitations of utilizing a robotic assisted approach for common and approved bariatric operation will the reviewed. Patient selection and clinical pearls will be emphasized. Other aspects of utilizing the technology such as outcomes and financial costs will be reviewed and compared with other conventional surgical approaches. The end of the second session will culminate with the ASMBS START program graduation ceremony and award of certificates for the participating fellows.
