Description:

This course will discuss the unique physical and psychological barriers associated with severe obesity, while providing practical advice to help patients overcome these obstacles.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will understand the potential impact of body image and weight stigma on adoption of physical activity.
  2. Attendees will be able to identify different forms of movement that can be learned and practiced by patients at all fitness and skill levels.
  3. Participants will be able to identify and use effective approaches to promote physical activity among patients with varying levels of motivation.
