Description:
This video session will allow surgeons to see technical expertise and conduct of an operation, and the sometimes-captured challenging clinical scenarios. This program will focus on the unusual, spectacular, and down-right difficult situations that our colleagues have encountered. The focus will of course be on the video, and ultimately the steps that resulted in successful resolution.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize and differentiate complications that may be encountered during the course of bariatric surgery.
- Understand that factors that can contribute to complications, that may be optimized in the pre- operative stage or with technical maneuvers during an operation.
- Develop the skills, including knowledge of new devices and instruments, for problem-solving in the operatizing room.
