Description:

This course is designed to foster collaboration among the various healthcare specialists involved in the care of the MBS patient. Each discipline contributes their expertise to the patient’s best outcomes but often times this care is provided in a fractured setting. This session will provide participants information and strategies to increase communication and collaboration across the disciplines. Best practices and lessons learned will be shared by a variety of clinical providers. A panel discussion will be held so that participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and share perspectives.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Improve their communication with other bariatric disciplines.
  2. Identify how each discipline contributes to the patient’s optimal surgical outcomes.
  3. Increase their confidence to speak to patients about topics outside of their primary discipline.
