Biography
Kelly van de Pas is currently a PhD candidate at the surgery department of the Máxima MC and the pediatric department of the Maastricht University Medical Center. She studied medicine at Maastricht University and graduated in 2019. Afterwards she worked as a resident not in training at the surgery department of the Máxima MC. When working as a resident, Kelly developed a special interest in bariatric surgery and the treatment of obesity in youth. In her research, she focuses on the conservative and surgical treatment of youth with severe obesity.
