Biography

Erin Thompson MPH, RD, CSOWM, LD, CDCES is a Registered Dietitian with over 23 years of experience counseling a variety of populations as well as precepting dietetic interns.Over the course of her career Erin has been a Certified Diabetes Educator, a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, and Board Certified in Obesity and Weight Management. She was a recipient of a 2019 stipend from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Weight Management Dietetics Practice Group to attend the Interventions in Adult Weight Management Course. She was also a recognized Future Woman Leader at the Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL where she served as the MOVE! Weight Management Coordinator from 2010-2016.Erin has worked in bariatric surgery exclusively for 8 years. She currently works as the Outpatient Bariatric Surgery Dietitian at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Tyler, Texas counseling patients before and after weight loss surgery as well as leading webinar and live support groups. In addition to practicing dietetics, Erin has been a passionate group fitness instructor for 21 years.
