Biography
I am a third-year medical student at The University of Texas Medical Branch. During my clinical rotations, I have found a passion for general surgery, specifically bariatric surgery, and intend to pursue that career route. My research interests include metabolic and bariatric surgery, minimally invasive foregut surgery, and burns. As a Schweitzer fellow, I have started a healthcare project in the greater Houston area, where a colleague and I help refugees navigate the healthcare system and educate them on the importance of preventative healthcare. Outside of the medical world, I enjoy lifting, yoga, embroidery, ballroom dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
