Biography
Majumdar is the bariatric coordinator at Emory University Hospital Midtown and has focused on the care of bariatric surgery patients much of her career. Majumdar serves as National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is chair of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’s integrative health program planning committee. She speaks at national conferences on topics related to obesity and bariatric surgery, quality improvement, and working with the media. Majumdar is co-editor of the third edition of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Pocket Guide to Bariatric Surgery and is a certified specialist in obesity and weight management. A former college athlete, Majumdar has experience as a personal trainer and helps athletes maximize their performance. She earned a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
