Biography

Mark Jonker, MD, is board-certified in general surgery and is a fellow of the ACS and ASMBS. His clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic general and bariatric surgery. He attended medical school at Medical College of Wisconsin graduating in 2006. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin in 2013, which included 2 years of research in the lab of Dr. Kenneth Kudsk focusing on nutrition and mucosal immunology. In 2015 he complete his minimally invasive and bariatric fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then joined Michigan Bariatric Institute and Integrated Health Associates in southeast Michigan.
