Biography
Kayla graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in June 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Science and Cum Laude honors. During her time at UCLA, Kayla served as a Learning Assistant for physiological science courses and as a student research coordinator in an exercise physiology lab. After graduation, Kayla returned to her hometown in Fresno, California. She is currently working as a medical scribe/ back office assistant at a cardiac electrophysiology office and as a student research associate with the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates at the Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital. In her spare time, she also volunteers as a National Youth/ Student Council representative for the Japanese American Citizens League.
