Biography

Neal Ferrin is currently a third year general surgery resident at Western Michigan University. He grew up in a rural Utah and attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree while running on their Division I Cross Country and Track and Field teams. He attended medical school at Rocky Vista University, where he first developed an interest in bariatric surgery during his surgical rotations. He has continued this interest throughout his early years in surgical training, and is currently planning on applying for and pursuing a Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship at the end of his residency.
